The Executive Office of the World Police Summit (WPS) has announced that nominations are now open for the World Police Summit Awards 2024, taking place from March 5 to 7.
The awards will feature 10 categories, recognizing the dedication and contributions of security experts, specialists, police leaders, and all personnel involved in global law enforcement. These individuals devote themselves to ensuring the safety and stability of both local and international communities, upholding the highest standards despite various challenges.
Brigadier Sheikh Muhammad Abdullah Al Mualla, Director of the General Department for Excellence and Pioneering in Dubai Police and Head of the Executive Office of the World Police Summit, highlighted the success of previous years’ awards, with hundreds of applications received from the law enforcement sector.
“The WPS Awards provide a platform to showcase outstanding policing and security efforts and offer the opportunity to honour the noble services and sacrifices of selfless police figures,” he said.
Brigadier Al Mualla has revealed that the upcoming WPS Awards will introduce three new categories, making a total of ten awards. The new categories include Excellence in Criminal Investigation, Excellence in Anti-Narcotics Programmes, and Excellence in Forensic Science.
Other categories encompass Innovative Police Force, Excellence in Road Safety, Best Police App of the Year, Excellence in Customer Service, Inspiring Female Officer, People of Determination Excellence, and Good Samaritan, according to Gulf News.
Participants have until November 2, 2023, to submit their entries. Detailed information about each category and the submission process can be found on the World Police Summit website.
The three-day summit will bring together over 100 global police leaders, more than 170 exhibitors, and numerous speakers and experts from 109 countries. With the aim of promoting knowledge exchange and sharing best practices, the event has planned nearly 140 sessions.
The World Police Summit has established itself as the premier gathering that unites esteemed global police leaders, security experts, and law enforcement agencies to collaborate, share information, and discuss the latest advancements in relevant fields.
