Global Soft Power Index compiled by Brand Finance, a research and analysis firm, has ranked the UAE among the top 10 countries for the first time in history.
This was announced during the annual Global Soft Power Summit in London, attended by global leaders and public figures such as former British Prime Minister Boris Johnson and former Swedish Prime Minister Stefan Löfven.
The UAE showed significant progress in all major and sub-indicators, highlighting the country’s distinguished position as one of the world’s most advanced nations in terms of positive impact and a strong reputation.
In the 2023 Global Soft Power Index compiled by Brand Finance, the UAE has risen from 15th place in 2022 to 10th place, the largest rise among the top 10 countries, and the only Arab and Middle Eastern country to achieve this position.
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, praised this achievement, saying it demonstrates the effectiveness of the UAE’s development approach and its influential economic, developmental, and media role on the global stage. The index was compiled through a survey that evaluated 121 countries, with the input of over 110,000 people.
