Qatar Central Bank has announced that Sunday, March 1, 2026, will be observed as an official bank holiday in Qatar.
The holiday falls in accordance with Amiri Decree No. 57 of 2025, which sets out official working days, national occasions and public holidays across the country. Moreover, the decree stipulates that the first Sunday of March each year will be designated as a bank holiday.
As a result, all banks and financial institutions will suspend operations on March 1, 2026. However, normal operations will resume on Monday, March 2, 2026, the central bank confirmed.
