Abu Dhabi is set to deploy a national-scale AI supercomputer in India featuring 8 exaflops of computing power, signalling a significant step forward in the evolution of India’s artificial intelligence infrastructure.
The platform will be delivered by G42 in collaboration with Cerebras, known for high-performance AI inference systems, alongside Mohamed bin Zayed University of Artificial Intelligence and India’s Centre for Development of Advanced Computing.
The initiative was unveiled during the AI Impact Summit 2026 in New Delhi. It builds on momentum generated by the 5th India-UAE Strategic Dialogue held in December 2025 and the January 2026 state visit of Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, which reinforced a broad-based partnership spanning defence, advanced technology, space and energy cooperation.
With a peak capacity of 8 exaflops, the deployment marks a decisive shift towards exascale AI infrastructure in India, materially enhancing the country’s domestic computing strength to support next-generation AI research and large-scale model development.
Located within India, the supercomputer will function under governance frameworks defined by Indian authorities, ensuring all data remains within national borders. Engineered to align with sovereign security and regulatory standards, the platform will act as a core infrastructure pillar under the India AI Mission.
