Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, UAE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, held a telephone conversation on Wednesday with his New Zealand counterpart, Winston Peters, to discuss avenues for enhancing bilateral cooperation.
During the call, both ministers explored prospects for expanding collaboration across priority sectors under the framework of the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) between the two nations.
Signed in January 2025, the agreement is designed to ease trade restrictions, streamline customs processes, and promote greater private sector engagement and cross-border investment flows.
Sheikh Abdullah underscored the depth of relations between the UAE and New Zealand, reaffirming their shared resolve to broaden cooperation and drive sustainable growth and prosperity for both countries.
The discussion also covered recent regional and global developments, with both sides exchanging perspectives on matters of mutual interest.
