Emarat has named Burhan Al Hashemi as its new Chief Executive Officer, a move that represents a significant milestone in the company’s ongoing transformation as it consolidates its standing within the UAE’s energy and retail sectors.
Prior to joining Emarat, Al Hashemi occupied a series of senior leadership positions at Emirates National Oil Company (ENOC), where he was instrumental in driving business growth, enhancing operational efficiency and strengthening commercial outcomes across both regional and international markets. His appointment reflects Emarat’s focus on improving execution, reinforcing organisational resilience and fast-tracking capabilities essential for long-term competitiveness.
Speaking about his appointment, Al Hashemi said: “My priority is to sharpen strategic execution across the business, strengthen performance and resilience, and accelerate the capabilities that will define competitiveness in the years ahead, including digital enablement, service excellence, and talent development.”
Bringing nearly 30 years of experience spanning aviation fuels, lubricants, retail fuel networks, gas, as well as marine and industrial supply, Al Hashemi offers extensive industry knowledge and a proven record in both strategic direction and operational leadership.
In his capacity as CEO, he will lead Emarat’s strategic priorities, with an emphasis on operational excellence, enhanced customer experience, improved efficiency and sustainable growth. His remit also covers the advancement of digital initiatives and the development of talent to underpin the company’s next stage of expansion.
Established in 1980, Emarat manages one of the UAE’s prominent fuel and convenience retail networks, delivering a comprehensive portfolio of commercial fuel, natural gas and lubricant solutions nationwide.
