Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority has opened a new 600 metre, four lane bridge at the intersection of Al Qudra Road and the link connecting Arabian Ranches with Dubai Studio City.
The project forms part of the wider development of major intersections along Al Qudra Road, aimed at improving traffic movement across one of Dubai’s key transport corridors.
The newly opened bridge has significantly enhanced traffic efficiency at the junction, increasing capacity from approximately 6,600 vehicles per hour to around 19,200 vehicles per hour.
Average waiting times have been reduced by more than half, easing congestion and improving travel reliability for daily commuters.
Al Qudra Road serves as a vital east to west link, extending from Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road through Sheikh Zayed bin Hamdan Al Nahyan Street and Emirates Road.
The upgrades are designed to support growing residential communities and improve connectivity between major development areas across the emirate.
RTA has also confirmed that a northern bridge at the same intersection is scheduled to open soon. The 700 metre structure will feature two lanes in each direction and is expected to further streamline traffic flow towards Al Qudra City and Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road.
The overall Al Qudra Road improvement programme includes the construction of multiple bridges and the expansion of key road sections. Once completed, the project is expected to deliver smoother traffic movement, shorter travel times and improved access for residents and businesses across surrounding communities.
