Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, said the second round of trilateral discussions between Russia, Ukraine and the United States, held in Abu Dhabi on Wednesday, yielded positive outcomes.
Referring to the ongoing dialogue, Sheikh Abdullah noted that the two meetings in Abu Dhabi led to productive and constructive exchanges, identifying shared interests that could form the basis for continued progress.
He added that the talks demonstrated the seriousness of all parties in advancing diplomatic engagement, as well as a collective commitment to alleviating the humanitarian impact of a conflict that has persisted for four years.
Sheikh Abdullah expressed his appreciation to all three countries for their participation, saying these engagements have become a key pillar in building mutual trust, supporting mediation efforts and narrowing differences between the sides, in pursuit of peaceful and sustainable resolutions to the crisis.
He also thanked the leadership and negotiating team of the United States for their role in facilitating the discussions and pushing forward the political process, from which the international community hopes to see outcomes that strengthen global stability and help bring the crisis to an end.
The UAE’s top diplomat reaffirmed that the country remains committed to offering a conducive platform for dialogue aimed at reducing divisions and advancing peaceful solutions.
