The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) Group has confirmed that Interactive Brokers, a major global electronic brokerage platform, has joined its network of online broker partners.
The move is designed to broaden international investor access to ADX-listed securities and further strengthen Abu Dhabi’s growing role as a global centre for cross-border investment.
Through Interactive Brokers, international clients can now trade all securities listed on ADX in addition to more than 160 global markets. Investors in the UAE will also benefit from the platform’s multi-currency account features, including the ability to hold UAE dirhams and perform foreign exchange conversions for both funding and trading.
ADX noted that the addition of Interactive Brokers supports its wider objective to diversify investor channels, boost market liquidity and enhance global accessibility to its expanding range of investment products, which include equities, ETFs, derivatives, fixed-income instruments and digital trading services.
This development follows recent ADX initiatives aimed at increasing retail and regional participation, including partnerships with digital investment platforms such as Thndr and eToro. The exchange has also strengthened global connectivity through partners like the ICE Global Network, which has expanded the international distribution of ADX market data.
Group Chief Executive Officer Abdulla Salem Alnuaimi said the partnership reflects the rising appeal of Abu Dhabi’s capital markets. He stated that welcoming Interactive Brokers demonstrates increasing global interest in the emirate’s market and highlights the strength of ADX’s infrastructure, product range and commitment to smooth investor access.
He added that ADX is actively widening the channels through which international investors can participate in its markets, invest in high-growth listed companies and work towards their investment goals. Interactive Brokers is expected to support deeper liquidity, strengthen global links and improve the overall trading experience.
International clients of Interactive Brokers can now directly access and trade ADX-listed securities through the platform.
