The Federal Authority for Government Human Resources has confirmed that 1st and 2nd December 2025, will be official holidays for federal government entities in observance of the UAE’s 54th Union Day. The decision provides federal employees with a four-day break when combined with the weekend.
The directive applies to all ministries and federal departments, with normal working hours scheduled to resume on Wednesday, 3 December 2025.
The authority extended its congratulations to the UAE leadership, citizens and residents, noting that Union Day serves as an occasion to honour the nation’s founders and reflect on the UAE’s continued achievements.
Commemorations across the Emirates are expected to include cultural programmes, performances and public events celebrating more than five decades of unity, development and national pride.
