The announcement coincides with the approval of the National Family Growth Agenda 2031, a long-term strategic framework designed to strengthen family stability and effectiveness throughout the UAE.
Key Objectives of the Year of Family Initiative:
- Promote awareness of the family’s role in building resilient and cohesive communities
- Preserve and transmit Emirati culture, values, and traditions to future generations
- Encourage unity, empathy, and cooperation within society
- Support the National Family Growth Agenda 2031 through programs and initiatives at the federal and local levels
Sheikh Mohamed emphasized that fostering strong family bonds is a shared responsibility and urgent national priority to ensure the UAE’s long-term societal sustainability.
“The family is a cornerstone of the nation’s strength and prosperity. From it, generations are built, and through it, we safeguard our culture, values, and identity,” Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed said.
This initiative will be accompanied by nationwide programs, awareness campaigns, and community activities to celebrate and reinforce the importance of family ties across all segments of society.
