The Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry has formalised two cooperation agreements with the North Carolina Chamber of Commerce and the Texas Association of Business during the Abu Dhabi economic delegation’s visit to the United States.
The agreements are designed to create new opportunities for Abu Dhabi’s business sector, enhance the UAE private sector’s footprint in the American market, and advance economic and investment ties in line with the Chamber’s 2025–2028 strategic roadmap.
The first agreement, signed with the North Carolina Chamber of Commerce, is focused on encouraging joint investments, enabling Emirati and American companies to participate in trade exhibitions and economic forums, and facilitating the exchange of information on business environments and trade regulations across both markets.
It also establishes cooperation in hosting virtual events and reciprocal visits, along with the creation of a registry of Emirati firms investing in North Carolina to function as a practical database for joint ventures. Other areas include the exchange of technical expertise, training initiatives, and extensive support for trade and economic delegations between the two countries.
The second agreement with the Texas Association of Business aims to broaden trade and industrial collaboration between Abu Dhabi and Texas through the exchange of economic data, support for corporate networking, and the organisation of joint initiatives, including business visits and events.
It further encourages participation in sector-specific exhibitions and forums while driving entrepreneurship and innovation through knowledge transfer and the adoption of advanced technologies.
Both sides also underlined their commitment to safeguarding intellectual property rights and maintaining the confidentiality of shared information.
Shames Al Dhaheri, Second Vice Chairman and Managing Director of the Abu Dhabi Chamber, commented, “These partnerships demonstrate the Chamber’s dedication to executing its 2025–2028 roadmap, which focuses on strengthening the private sector, nurturing innovation, and enabling national enterprises to grow internationally. They also reflect the leadership’s vision of building a competitive and sustainable economy.”
He added, “Our collaboration with the North Carolina Chamber and the Texas Association of Business will reinforce Abu Dhabi’s position as a global economic hub, while supporting national companies in exploring new markets and contributing to a forward-looking, innovative business ecosystem.”
