In a major step toward revolutionizing postal services, 7X has launched Wayn, a digital P.O. Box platform that aims to drive the UAE’s digital transformation agenda. The platform, introduced during a press conference in Abu Dhabi, enables individuals and companies to obtain a secure, permanent UAE digital address linked to their physical location, verified through their national ID or the National Economic Register (NER).
Wayn ensures safe delivery of letters, documents, e-bills, and packages from authorized senders, preventing threats like phishing and fraud. Users can choose to receive shipments at various locations, including Emirates Post branches, authorized pick-up and drop-off points, or through the MyHome Package service for home or office delivery.
The platform offers an automated digital mailbox with archiving and categorization features, streamlining the management of formal documents and invoices. This helps users securely store and manage important documents, reducing reliance on traditional email systems.
The launch was marked by the presence of key officials, including Badr Al-Olama, Chairman of 7X, Dr. Mohammed Hamad Al-Kuwaiti, Chairman of the UAE Cybersecurity Council, and Mohammad Al Zarooni, TDRA Deputy Director-General for the Information and Digital Government Sector.
7X also signed strategic partnerships with the Telecommunications and Digital Government Regulatory Authority (TDRA) and the UAE Cybersecurity Council to integrate Wayn with the Secure National Digital Identity (UAE Pass), enhancing security and trust in digital communications. Wayn was officially accredited as a “Secure Digital Communication Channel,” reflecting 7X’s commitment to cybersecurity and secure digital solutions.
Commenting on the launch, Badr Al-Olama said, “The launch of Wayn reinforces our commitment to the national digital transformation agenda. Wayn is our contribution to shaping the future of postal services and provide pioneering solutions that meet the needs of digital natives and e-commerce platform users securely and efficiently.”
Dr. Mohammed Hamad Al-Kuwaiti emphasized the platform’s role in advancing the UAE’s communication industry, stating, “More than just a digital postal service, Wayn is a comprehensive security system that utilises the latest identity verification and encryption technologies. The platform further guarantees the safety of transactions and shields user data from cyber threats by integrating with the UAE Pass.”
Al Zarooni highlighted the importance of the launch, adding, “The launching of Wayn, the Digital P.O. Box, represents a significant milestone in our efforts to achieve the UAE’s strategic objectives in fostering digital transformation, embracing technological innovations that enhance the efficacy of government work and raise the quality of services offered to people and businesses.”
Abdulla Mohammed Alashram, Group CEO of 7X, remarked that the platform reflects 7X’s commitment to keeping pace with rapid technological advancements. “The launch of the Wayn digital P.O. Box in the UAE comes in response to the rapid global developments in technology. The platform reflects our commitment to introducing transformational products to our customers, in alignment with the UAE’s Zero Government Bureaucracy Programme,” he said.
Wayn will provide a free digital P.O. Box address to all individuals and companies in the UAE, with value-added services available to businesses initially and expanding to individuals in the near future.
Through Wayn, 7X continues its global leadership in developing innovative solutions for trade, transport, and logistics, ensuring secure, efficient, and digital-first services for all.
