Dr Akram Awad, Managing Director & Partner at Boston Consulting Group (BCG), stated that the number of AI specialists in the UAE has grown by around 40% since 2022.
“This increase is remarkable compared to other nations competing in this sector, particularly given the intense global demand for digital talent,” during the second day of ‘AI Everything Global’ at the Dubai Exhibition Centre, Expo City.
According to Dr Awad, the UAE has emerged as a strong contender in artificial intelligence by establishing advanced digital infrastructure and fostering a supportive regulatory and investment ecosystem. “The UAE has built a robust foundation that can be leveraged in the years ahead—not only to strengthen its leadership but also to position itself as a global AI hub by exporting technology and developing a highly skilled workforce capable of meeting local, regional, and international demands.”
He further noted that the UAE has become one of the most attractive destinations for AI specialists and is successfully retaining top talent.
Dr Awad highlighted that the UAE has drawn these experts by offering competitive job opportunities, a high standard of living, and a flexible environment that encourages creativity and innovation.
